For 37 years, I practiced the art of clinical medicine and clinical research in the pediatric subspecialty of neonatology. Since my retirement in 2013, I have nurtured my creativity through visual arts and photography.

Offices, Advisory Boards, Committees:
I am an active contributor to the Newton, MA arts community. I was president of the Newton Camera Club (2016-2019) and served on the Board of Governors of the New Art Center (2017-2019). Since 2018, I have served on the advisory board of the Newton Art Association, and currently, am NAA co-president. Through the NAA, I am involved in the Newton Cultural Alliance and Newton Festival of the Arts.
Visual Arts
Education: Since 2014, I have studied at the New Art Center, Newton, MA. My primary area of study is post-modern abstract painting (John Murray, instructor). I have also studied monotype printing, mixed-media/collage/assemblage, ceramics, watercolor, and drawing. In Provincetown, MA, I studied painting through workshops at the Provincetown Art Association and Museum and Cape Cod School of Art (2013-2014, 2019). My education through the Newton Art Association is ongoing though critiques, art demonstrations, and workshops.
Exhibits: Over the past six years I have exhibited in numerous shows through Provincetown Art Association and Museum (15 exhibits, 2 juried), the Newton Art Association (22 exhibits, 4 juried), and the New Art Center (4 exhibits).

Photography
Education: Since 2013, I studied photography through educational programs in the Newton Camera Club, and through photography tours (Oregon, Maine, Cape Cod, and Delaware Bay) and workshops (15).
Exhibits: I have participated in 16 Newton Camera Club exhibits (4 juried) and in Members Exhibit at Griffin Museum of Photography, Winchester, MA.
